Your Control

Manage or disable cookies at any time via your browser

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, tablet, or phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, to provide a better user experience, and to give website owners useful information about how their site is being used.

Cookies can be "session" cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or "persistent" cookies, which remain on your device until they expire or you delete them.

TrueVIQ is operated by Digitally Inherent Pvt Ltd, a product of conduit488.ai. This policy explains which cookies we use and why.

2. Cookie Categories

a) Essential Cookies (Always Active)

These cookies are strictly necessary for the platform to function. They enable core features such as keeping you logged in and remembering your preferences. Because they are essential, they do not require consent under UK GDPR and PECR regulations.

  • Supabase Authentication (sb-access-token, sb-refresh-token): These cookies manage your secure login session so you remain authenticated as you use the platform.
  • User Preferences: These cookies store your chosen settings such as theme and display preferences, so you do not need to reconfigure them on each visit.

✓ Essential cookies cannot be disabled without affecting the core functionality of the platform. They do not collect any information for marketing or advertising purposes.

b) Analytics Cookies (Consent Required)

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use our platform. This helps us improve the learning experience for families. Analytics cookies are only activated after you provide consent.

  • Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*, _gid): These cookies collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics such as which pages are visited most and how long sessions last.

✓ Analytics data is anonymised. IP anonymisation is enabled. No personal data (names, email addresses, or child profiles) is sent to Google Analytics. This data is used solely to improve the platform.

3. Cookie Details

We do not use: Advertising cookies, social media tracking cookies, third-party embedded content cookies, or any other non-essential cookies beyond those listed above.

4. Children and Cookies

TrueVIQ is designed for children aged 9-11. We take our obligations under the ICO Age Appropriate Design Code (Children's Code) seriously when it comes to cookie usage:

  • Essential Cookies Only by Default: When a child uses the platform, only essential cookies (authentication and preferences) are active unless a parent has provided consent for analytics cookies.
  • Parental Consent for Analytics: Analytics cookies are only enabled when a parent or guardian has given explicit consent. Children cannot consent to analytics cookies on their own.
  • No Profiling: We never use cookies to profile children for commercial, advertising, or marketing purposes.
  • No Behavioural Tracking: We do not use cookies to track children across websites or build behavioural profiles.
  • Privacy by Default: The most protective cookie settings are applied automatically for all users.

5. How to Manage Cookies

You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view, delete, and block cookies from websites. Please note that disabling essential cookies may affect the functionality of the platform (for example, you may not be able to stay logged in).

Browser-specific instructions:

  • Google Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and other site data
  • Mozilla Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Manage and delete cookies and site data

For more detailed guidance on managing cookies across different browsers and devices, visit aboutcookies.org.

Please note: If you disable essential cookies (such as authentication cookies), you may not be able to log in or use core features of TrueVIQ. Analytics cookies can be disabled without affecting the platform's functionality.

6. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect anonymous, aggregated data about how visitors use our platform. This helps us understand which features are most useful, identify areas for improvement, and ensure the platform works well across different devices.

What Google Analytics collects:

  • Pages visited and time spent on each page
  • Device type, browser, and operating system
  • General geographic region (country/city level, not precise location)
  • How you arrived at our site (e.g., search engine, direct visit)

What Google Analytics does NOT collect:

  • Names, email addresses, or any personal account information
  • Child profile data or learning progress
  • Precise location or home address

✓ IP Anonymisation is enabled. Your IP address is anonymised before any data is stored or processed by Google Analytics, so your precise location is never recorded.

You can learn more about how Google uses data at Google's Privacy Policy. To opt out of Google Analytics across all websites, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this cookie policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page when we make changes.

If we make significant changes to how we use cookies, we will notify registered users by email and update our cookie consent mechanism accordingly.
