Safeguarding Policy

How TrueVIQ protects children using our platform.

Last updated: 13 March 2026

Our Safeguarding Principles

Safety by Design

No direct child interaction, no messaging, no social features

Parental Control

Parents manage all accounts and oversee all activity

Minimal Data

First name only — no surnames, dates of birth, or school names

1. Our Commitment

TrueVIQ is an online learning platform designed for children aged 9-11 preparing for the 11+ exam. The safety and wellbeing of every child using our platform is our highest priority.

This policy sets out how we protect children through our platform design, data handling practices, content safety measures, and our approach to uploaded materials. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and GDPR Rights page.

TrueVIQ is operated by Digitally Inherent Pvt Ltd, a product of conduit488.ai.

2. Platform Design and Safety

TrueVIQ is a structured question-and-answer learning platform. It is designed to eliminate the safeguarding risks associated with interactive or social platforms:

  • No direct child interaction: There is no 1:1 coaching, tutoring, or live sessions between adults and children
  • No messaging or chat: Children cannot send or receive messages of any kind
  • No social features: There are no friend lists, profiles visible to other users, forums, or community spaces
  • No user-generated content: Children cannot post comments, upload free-form content, or share material with others
  • No video or audio: The platform does not use cameras or microphones during learning sessions
  • Structured learning only: All interaction is limited to answering multiple-choice questions, viewing explanations, and reviewing progress

✓ By design, there is no channel through which a child can be contacted by another user, an adult, or any third party through TrueVIQ.

3. Parental Controls

All accounts are parent-managed. Children cannot independently create or modify accounts.

  • Account creation: Only parents can create accounts and add child profiles
  • Child profiles: Parents control all child profile information (first name, year group, exam type)
  • Progress visibility: Parents have full visibility of their child's learning progress, session history, and performance analytics
  • Data control: Parents can access, export, or delete their child's data at any time
  • Subscription management: All payment and subscription decisions are made by parents

4. Content Safety

All questions on TrueVIQ are age-appropriate and curriculum-aligned. Our content goes through rigorous quality assurance:

  • Expert-reviewed: Every question is reviewed by qualified educators
  • 6-layer verification: Our Crucible verification process checks accuracy, age-appropriateness, curriculum alignment, difficulty calibration, bias, and clarity
  • TrueVIQ Score: Each question carries a visible quality rating (0-100) so parents can see exactly how thoroughly it has been validated
  • No external links: Learning content does not link to external websites or third-party resources
  • No advertisements: Children are never shown advertisements of any kind

5. TrueVIQ Paper Trail — Upload Safety

TrueVIQ Paper Trail allows parents to download practice papers for offline use and upload completed answer sheets for automatic marking. Because uploads may contain photographs of a child's handwritten work, we apply strict safeguards:

What is uploaded:

  • A photograph or scan of a completed multiple-choice answer sheet
  • Uploads are initiated by parents, not children
  • Only image files (JPEG, PNG) are accepted — no other file types

How we protect uploaded images:

  • EXIF metadata stripped immediately: All location data, device information, and other metadata is removed before the image is processed or stored
  • 60-second deletion: Uploaded images are deleted within 60 seconds of processing — this is a non-negotiable compliance requirement aligned with the ICO Children's Code
  • AI processing only: The image is sent to a secure AI service solely to extract answer selections (A, B, C, D, E). No other analysis is performed
  • No long-term image storage: We do not retain, archive, or back up uploaded images. Only the extracted answers (letters) are kept
  • No human review of images: Uploaded answer sheets are processed entirely by automated systems — no person views the uploaded photographs
  • Non-reversible watermarks: Downloaded papers contain a cryptographic watermark that cannot be traced back to a child's identity

AI processing disclosure:

Important: Uploaded answer sheet images are sent to Anthropic (a US-based AI provider) for answer detection using Claude Vision. The image is used solely to extract multiple-choice answers and is not stored or used for any other purpose. We are pursuing a Zero Data Retention agreement with Anthropic to ensure uploaded images are not retained on their systems. See our Privacy Policy for full details on international data transfers.

✓ Summary: Answer sheet images are stripped of metadata, processed for answer extraction only, and deleted within 60 seconds. No images are stored. No human views the uploads.

6. Data Protection for Children

We collect the absolute minimum data needed to provide the learning service. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

  • First name only: We do not collect surnames, dates of birth, or school names
  • No profiling for marketing: Children's learning data is never used for commercial purposes
  • No behavioural advertising: Children are never shown targeted advertisements
